Pupils from the Thurrock Trade school have been celebrating their success at a special presentation day held in the Chamber at Thurrock Council. The 24 students have all completed a 12 week course in plumbing, carpentry, electrics or bricklaying.

Finding a job is difficult for anyone in the current climate, but no more so than if you are only 16 and have left school with few qualifications and no clear career path ahead. However, thanks to the help and support of a number of Rotherham organisations and repairs and maintenance provider Morrison, one young man has had the break he needs to find employment.

Repairs and maintenance service provider Morrison Scotland, the main sponsor of the International Children's Games golf event which starts today at Hamilton Golf Club; has set up a new Golf School to help local children gain an introduction to the sport.

The London Borough of Ealing has awarded a new £17.5million contract to Morrison. The five year contract, with a possible five year extension, is for the provision of repairs and maintenance and minor voids to 9,200 properties across the west of the borough.
