My Story:
I am a Resident Liaison Officer for Morrison on our Gedling Homes contract and my role involves working closely with all our customers, clients and residents to an deliver excellent customer experience. I really love my job and caring for our customers, our team and local communities is something that I am very passionate about.
As my job is really varied and involves talking to people all the time it’s really important that I have excellent people and customer service skills. I have a bubbly personality, which really helps to make people feel at ease but also means I am seen as approachable if something is not working right. It’s also really important to be good at listening as our customers and residents in the local community are the real people to tell us when things are going right.
Sometimes its important to stop during a busy day and take the time to talk to someone … just recently I found out that one of our resident’s daughter was seriously ill as this was mentioned in one of our conversation whilst some work was being carried out. We kept in contact over a number of weeks as it was nice for her to have someone to talk to during an extremely difficult time. Unfortunately, her daughter passed away but she took the time to call me to thank me for my support and consideration. I was very touched that she had found the time to do this.
Overall I am proud to be working at Morrison and I strive to let that shine through wherever and whatever I do! One of the things that keeps me motivated is the passion of the senior management team and the personal touch they have with all their employees ... it’s a breath of fresh air!
