Personal Development Plans
A PDP is a document to help you steer your performance. Everyone at Morrison has one. It's there to help you understand how you did last year and keep focused on how you can develop and perform in the coming 12 months.
The process is straightforward.
1 You get a PDP from your manager or local HR person. You rate your performance on a number of dimensions, and think about what development needs you might have.
2 You have a meeting (a Personal Development Review) with your line manager, where you agree the ratings for last year. You then discuss and agree next year's objectives, together with the support or training you'll need to help you achieve what you commit to. You, your manager and HR keep copies.
3 You and your manager refer to the PDP throughout the year to help you both keep on track.
If you don't have a session scheduled - contact your line manager.
